WEEK 1

On my first week of summer I started reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. Since I began, I read every single day until finish it. I took my book everywhere because I was so nervous of what was going to happen next, so I couldn’t stop reading. These kinds of books are the ones I like to read, romantic ones. It is about a girl named Ronnie whose parents are separated and for the summer she goes to her dad’s house with her younger brother, Jonah. She didn’t like being there at all, especially when her dad played the piano. When she met Will, things started to change. They both fell in love with and started to wonder what will happen with them when he leaves and she goes back home. Will and Ronnie got into a fight, they didn’t saw each other for a while but when her dad dies, Will comes back from college and sees her. He tells Ronnie he’ll go to Europe and when he gets back he’ll call. So, Ronnie went back home to NY she got into Julliard, where her dad used to teach. Will calls her, when she realized he’s just behind her and tells he moved to NY with his sister because he transferred to the college he ever wanted. This is one of my favorite books, I almost cried when I finished it.
WEEK 2June 17 This day was very exciting because it was the last game between Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics of the 2010 NBA Finals. Two years ago, the Lakers met Celtics in the finals and Boston won four games to two. This time both teams tied up by 3-3 in the past 6 games, this is the 7th game. I began watching Celtics games since my sister and my two brother’s study in Boston, Massachusetts. All my family was in the living room eating sushi and anxiously waiting for the game to start. When the game began, I couldn’t even hear the TV because everyone was screaming of the joy that Celtics was winning the first quarter of the game. Though, the LA Lakers won, Boston Celtics lead the majority of the game and the score ended up 79-83. Some of my friends were also Celtics and we talked about the game the day after. WEEK 3 I was bored in my house with my sister, so we decided to go rent a movie and we chose Remember me for two reasons: Robert Pattinson was in the front cover page and some friends told my sister it was a good movie. I thought it was going to be a silly movie and once it started I couldn’t understand what the movie was about until it got to the end. I understood it was about a rebel young man, Tyler, who had family relationship problems and believed no one could understand what he was going through. He met Ally, the least that he could think of because he started to fall for her and she was the only one he could really talk to. I was crying once it was about to finish because it is there when Tyler dies. My parents enter the room and asked me if I was okay, my sister was just laughing at me.
WEEK 4
Casually, this day I went to my mom’s office and she has a Yahoo bookmark on her computer because she likes o see some news about everything. So, I logged in and read about the tragedy Lindsay Lohan was going through. It said that she was going to court and that she could go to jail or maybe not. She wasn’t going through easy days and I couldn’t believe that one of my favorite stars was in problems like this. I loved Lindsay Lohan because of my favorite movie since I was a little girl, Parent Trap. Six days later I arrived at Miami and they were still talking about Lindsay Lohan going to jail. WEEK 5 As I said before, I love books and movies that are about love. I watched Dear John with my mom and sister in the hotel four days after I arrived at Miami. I was so deeply concentrated on the movie that I didn’t noticed when my sister turned off the lights. It is about love at first sight, when John dives into the ocean to catch Savannah’s purse and then they meet. They fell in love rapidly after he helped her build the house for Habitat for Humanity. Savannah is a college student and when she leaves she promises to write for the next year until they meet again when he finished his enlistment. The truth is I expected more about this movie.
WEEK 6
I traveled with my family from Miami to Orlando for four days. We had so much fun when we went to Universal Studios, Island of Adventures, and Magic Kingdom. I got the chance to ride in many attractions, but there was a specific one I was dying to go… The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! It was the BEST ride, but the line was SO long that people camping and all stuff. When we were half way they stopped the ride because of technical conditions and a girl named Tiffany starts to talk to me. I made conversation and she was the one that told me people went camping because the line duration was 8 hours just to get in the ride. Therefore we talked like half an hour; she told me she was from Boston and some other personal stuff too.
WEEK 7
I had just bought the complete series of my favorite show: friends and I watched likes 15 episodes just today!! That's a lot becuase there are 236 or more episodes in total. It’s about 6 best friends: Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross, and Joey that are inseparable and are always there for each and one of them whether they have ups or downs. All of them have different qualities that make them special. The Central Perk Café is where they basically spend most of the time. I think it teaches you how to love and appreciate your friends because once they’re gone the only thing left are the memories. Friends always make me laugh and I can watch it all day long like I just did these past two daysJ. I simply love it. This show remembers me of some friends that I really appreciate. WEEK 8
It was my sisters birthday and some of her friends come over to my house to have lunch. I invited some of my friends too, Edith and Maria Isabel. We stayed in my house for long and at night we went to the movies and watch Shrek 4 3D. I was so excited about watching that movie, especially because it was in 3D, but sincerely I was VERY bored during the movie. They ruined it when Shrek wanted the magic spell so that his life would be like it was before…horrible. The only part I liked was when Fiona noticed Shrek is really her true love and kisses him so that the spell can break and he could have his life back again with his children and friends.
